Internet technology succeeded by rejecting fundamental tenets of the telephony technology it replaced. Highly functional microgrids can be created with a similar rejection of traditional power distribution technology approaches. Local Power Distribution organizes electricity within (and between) buildings from the bottom-up, on a network model, pervasively digitally managed, and with much greater use of Direct Current than we have today.
