Benjamin Donnot

Data Scientist
After a master degree in applied mathematics (statistics) at ENSAE, Benjamin obtained, in 2019, a PhD in computer science at Universite Paris Saclay under the direction of Isabelle Guyon. Benjamin joined RTE as a "data scientist" right after his PhD defense. One of his mission at RTE is to close the gap between the academic Artificial Intelligence community and power system research industry: studying and implementing state of the art AI algorithm into powergrid as a possible tool to allow energy transition. He has been the lead software developer of the open source Grid2Op platform and co-organizer of the L2RPN open science initiative. The L2RPN set of competitions aims at testing the applications of AI in decision making for real time power system operation.
